How-to: Deploying PyQt applications on Windows and Mac OS X. For PyQt applications, you will need to tell it to include sip, a fundamental component of the PyQt binding system. Or structure. Building GUI applications using PYQT designer tool is comparatively less time consuming than code the widgets. It is one of the fastest and easiest ways to create GUI’s. The normal approach is to write the code even for the widgets and for the functionalities as well. But using Qt-designer, one.

I've been researching PyQT vs PySide and the overall gist seems to be that they are just about identical except PySide is free if you ever want to sell your software (and some say Pyside is slightly more pythonic/beginner friendly and that the documentation is better). Shouldn't a free extremely similar option be crushing the one with a license fee? It's a $500+ fee and the Python community by and large goes with free open source tools. On top of that the ease of switching between these two should only have accelerated an exodus further (compared to going from PyQT to something else like wxPython for example). So why is PyQt still even a thing? For someone getting into GUI development today is there any reason whatsoever to go with PyQt over Pyside?

![Pyqt Program Structure Pyqt Program Structure](/uploads/1/2/5/2/125262359/155931074.png)
Hi guys!
I've developed a GUI application (using PyQT) which basically takes user input from a textArea and passes the values to a spider that downloads files from a website.
This has been my first Python project. The good news? The app works as expected. However, now I'd like to add more websites which will also require to add new child dialogs (main dialog GUI and function can be shared).
Now that I need to re-use classes and methods I realized how chaotic and non-reusable the code in my app is. It lacks of a structure. Since I don't want to repeat unnecessary bits of code, I'd like to know more about how PyQT applications are normally structured.
Can you recommend any tutorial, thread, video on the issue? Or maybe give some advice so I can start googling about it.
Thanks!
